2. Xi’an
Of course, we can’t ignore this incredible city! As the birthplace of Chinese civilization, Xi’an is historic for a number of reasons, with the famous Terracotta Warriors and the historic route starting point of the Silk Road trade. Traceback over 12 dynasties of tradition and culture!
3. Kaiping
Speaking of history, don’t forget to visit Kaiping. This popular destination is a melting pot of diverse architecture and cuisine thanks to its fusion of Western and Southeast Asian cultures. Finally, check out the Diaolou – fortified, multi-story towers constructed in the 1920s and 1930s.
4. Hangzhou
Hangzhou is home to paradise, with garden designs that some claim to be heaven on earth. Even Marco Polo claimed it to be the most beautiful city globally! Finally, this city is best known for its UNESCO World Heritage site, West Lake.
5. Meijiawu
Last but not least, is Meijiawu, the tea center of China! The tradition of tea is highly respected throughout China, but in Meijiawu, it is essential. You can learn about the production and history of tea in your choice of over 100 tea houses. Don’t forget to experience a traditional tea ceremony before you leave!
